Sorry, this (network) is trash

I don't get how ID Discovery has turned into a trashy soap opera network. VERY few of their programming have real facts, events, footage of the actual trials, victims, etc.
Almost everything is re-enacted smut.
This explains a lot why they pulled the message boards on their website (but kept the stupid Facebook and Twitter page). Too many people complaining about the garbage they've put out.

Have you watched every show on this network or just this one? Because the facts and events are real on all of the shows and it's no soap opera. And the only shows that have re-enacted smut are this one and a coupe more most of their shows don't show any smut in their reenactments. I watch the shows Swamp Murders, Blood Relatives, Most Likely To, Behind Mansion Walls, and the newer one called Southern Fried Murder and I have yet to see smut in any of those shows.

Hey JCrewgirl,

I've been a viewer for many years, but have finally tuned out because most of the cut-to-the chase, true crime investigative shows that I appreciate such as Dateline, 48 Hours and even Disappeared have been overrun by things like Nightmare Next Door, Scorned and some of the few you've mentioned.
I can still appreciate shows like Joe Kenda, Sins and Secretsand Who the Bleep, which does include real pics and even interviews of the real victims and detectives along with reenactments that I actually find amusing.

Of course I know the events are real--I just can't stomach the stupid reenactments with actors hardly bearing any resemblance to the real people involved, the camera tricks, shows with voice-narration of murdered victims, creepy narration (Nightmare Next Door) and the borderline soft-porn scenes (Deadly Affairs, Pretty Bad Girls,Poisoned Passions). The network is filth now, and trust me- I'm hardly a prude. lol

As with most cable programming ID Discovery has been completely dumbed down.

I agree about the actors not showing any real resemblance at all, the only one these shows (that I watch that is) that even comes close to having actors that sort of look like the people is Fatal Vows.

I actually kind of like Nightmare Next Door. I also think Motives & Murder, Homicide Detective, Web of Lies, and A Crime to Remember - I believe ID really stepped up their game with this one. Unfortunately, it looks like there may not be any new episodes of Stalked.

I watched the first season of Scorned and Deadly Sins, but found them too ridiculous and stopped watching for years. I also got tired of Paula Zahn's On the Case due to lack of variety in the stories. Either a teenage girl murdered or a spouse or significant other murdered by the other spouse/significant other. I actually got bored with Dateline and 48 Hours because of this same repetition, especially Dateline. However, earlier this year I found myself giving all these shows another chance out of pure frustration and boredom with the same programs in different packaging on other networks. I mean how many shows about Alaska, commercial fishermen, gold hunters, Louisiana, survivalists, house hunters, house flippers, singers, competition, Hitler, and the KKK do we need? Oh, and let's not forget all the NCIS shows and the time is well overdue to get rid of anything starting with CSI.

I agree. I've been watching ID since before it had changed it's logo, and I used to never change the channel. The only good shows are the ones they show really late at night or really early, like the new detectives. Same with trutv, they used to show forensic files for atleast an hour every night, but now they only show "20 MOST SHOCKING!"

South Park called it murder porn. Here is the link http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3169684/

Yep. And I didn't get what they meant by murder porn, until I saw this very show. Making murder sexy one show at a time.
