Worst auction/picker show, ever.

It's like PBS picked the worst bits of all the already existing aution, antiquing and pickers shows and thought those qualities would make a hit program.

I couldn't stand most of the pickers. They just whine and complain like spoiled children.

Wes Cowan is barely tollerable on History Detectives and Antiques Roadshow where the items take center stage. As an auctioneer he's horrible. It's no wonder there was no audience and people kept getting up and walking out. He's anemic, has no patter, boring AND he bad mouthed several of the items he was auctioning.

I for one won't waste another moment on this show.

Watching it for the first time right now and boy, it is just downright boring.

Pretty bad auction for sure. A group of 10 barely interested bidders.
*yawn*

It's basically just watching people shop flea markets. ZZZzzzz

reply

I cannot understand why they would go to the trouble to put this show together, only to end up with the stuff at this absolutely dead excuse for an auction.

Strange.

reply

This is a disaster. They couldn't even construct a workable game/contest that made sense.

reply

Hilarious. I just saw my first episode and they lost nearly a combined $2000. The least anyone lost was $255.

It really is all-around bad

reply

This had great potential but the auction part is awful. It's silly to even think they could make profit paying retail then selling at auction.

reply

Every part is awful.
Watching them go from vendor to vendor, begging for the best deal, putting those people on the spot...just to flip it in an auction as part of a game show. Terrible.

And , yes, the end of show auctions have been brutal losses.

The whole show is a flawed concept.

reply

Oh god, another whiner.

Dude that's the business that they are in.
