An excellent movie, exceelent theme. Saddly it doesn't address one thing

This movie presents Hinduism in its true form. The ideologies discussed were mostly to the point and very interesting....i liked all this very much.

The only sad thing , i felt was that it remained merely as a debate of superstitions vs spirituality......It deals mainly in opposing buissiness conducted in the name of religion. I would say , people in India liked it because it shows God in it....maybe not the population who visits India, but most of the normal Indian (the mango man as we call them)are in the wrong side of the religion.....i mean they belive in God and all that....but has no qualms of going against the teachings of God

The best example is religious riots....people of India are God fearing and worships god as strong as any in the world.....but they can't stand an insult to "their god"....they will react violently.....Vice Versa is true for other religions as well....A true Hindu, who understands its teachings will not do this

Me...I am a better Hindu...i too will flock with "my people".....eventhough I realise there is no "My people" and "them".....I do so because its my survival instinct....I know, people of other religion flocks with their own people, because they believe that the other group are following some sort of evil religion or are not following the "true-path"....and "their god" might get angry if we mingle with them.

In a scenario like this, if i don't flock with my people.....i would get ostracized

Now the ground reality is not near as bad as I described above....but a very mild form of such social groupism does exist...eventhough my Muslim/Christian neighbour may smile at me or talk with me or even help me when i have some issues.....there is allways a gap....This "gap" is not my minds creation....anybody can feel it when u observe how they behave with "their people"....u see a different level of warmth

The ill-effects of organized religion is this: when u look at another person...u r able to see him only through your religious eyes...u r unable to see God independent of your religion

One might think..this is only a very minor issue....it is....BUT....this mentality eventhough very subtle is what drives people into religious riots, terrorism and even hate-killings when given a powerful enough stimulant

So, the one thing i felt that this movie could have done....was to educate the mind of human-beings in general....allbeith by just two or three lines even

the average Indian might still not understand that...but atleast a few would....and i would be more happy

I hope anybody who reads my post....can understand what i wrote ....and maybe someone can type in a reply once!!!!

ANd BTW....if God is in everything, he will be there in idols as well...so there is nothing wrong in worshipping in front of an idol(u r not worshipping the idol per se)....Actually in Hinduism when u worship in front of an idol, u r worshipping the god....the human mind can focus better on god....when in a temple

No need to get offended....its the truth....As u become more and more aware u can do so even without going to a temple-YES...but for the majority its not so!!!
