Copy of The Man Who Sued God

See this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_Who_Sued_God

So even this movie isn't an original...

reply

There is wide difference between copy and inspiration, basic theme is similar but watch both and there are a lot of difference, message in OMG is very strong, OMG deals with commercialization of religion and the other movie never deals about this. Director has given credit that it's adaptaed from man who sue's god and the gujrati play.

The chief difference here is that there is a character in OMG who is ACTUALLY God. Plus, obviously, being set in India, it deals with Hinduism rather than Christianity.

reply

Seriously even you are not original.. :) First of all it was already mentioned its inspired and the two movies are very much different.. :)

reply

He probably didn't watch either of them but can't accept that a good film has come out from akshay kumar production. I saw man who sued god after Director showed on credit that it is inspired from man who sued god, but only inspiration with wide differences, like that message in OMG is thought provoking.

reply

the movies "oh my god" opening credits CLEARLY mentions

not only the name of the movie "the man who sued god"

but also the director of the same and the writer....

that is like 100% credit given... nothing more can be done, they didnt copy, they got inspired from it, and adapted (a much better) version.

and as mentioned they gave full credit to the original writers. so calling it a ripoff or a poor copy is not right

Why should we?It has been mentioned in opening credit of the movie.

At least check your facts Surma884, before making such rabid accusations. As another user mentioned, it CLEARLY acknowledges The Man Who Sued God. Sick mindset.

P.S. India's beloved IPL (and the so-called highbrow entertainment) is also a copy of foreign football leagues and the defunct Indian Cricket League.
