I remain super impressed by how big of a success it proved to be. The fact that is was actually that good is stunning! Not many people can say that they expected this.

You’ll mostly get bad word of mouth by some bitter fans of the original (plenty who haven’t even seen it), but for the most part audiences unmistakably loved this new one. And for good reason! Totally different from the original, and it yet pays respect to it and does everything right. Funny and beyond entertaining.
