No cops?(spoilers)

Beth sees the dog slaughtered all over her nieces bed, just leaves with the girl and doesn't call the cops?? Are you kidding? Then she comes back and the little girl runs upstairs looking for her toy which is probably in her room. This all takes place AFTER witnessing her dog's dead body on her bed.

Yes, I wondered about that, too. Sis should have (and in real life probably would have, no?) called 911 to report that her brother was dangerously mentally ill. In fact, I wondered why Michael, during his lucid moments, didn't call 911 to say he was having a psychotic breakdown. They would have taken him away; he probably would have ended up on an emergency psych hold hospitalization. Not that it would have defeated the demons in the end, but it would have been the sensible real-world thing to do.

Maybe because the mortician, the demonologists and the psychiatrist didn't listen either..?
I would have given up hope gettin help too..
Next thing I would have done would have been killing myself..

AuntNikki247 I know I sure as hell would have reported it but maybe she didn't because she knew deep down that her brother was possessed and did this not of his own accord and didn't want to see him be arrested for a criminal act. Yes maybe she wanted him to get help but all he might have gotten was a jail cell and a criminal record if she reported it. Also by now she would have seen he was trying to help himself and also that he reached out for help and wasn't getting any and thus she probably was no point in her doing anything.
