This is something that I've wondered since childhood...
What do you guys think Animal is supposed to be? Is he some type of unknown creature (like Gonzo) or is he just a wild, unshaven, "humanoid" Muppet? I wonder this because the rest of The Electric Mayhem are all humanoid Muppets, but Animal is almost like a pet-- equipped with a leash and chain, lol.
That's the idea, a pet.

The Muppet Movie had better cameos, but The Great Muppet Caper was funnier, had better songs, improved puppeteering, and an incredible climax/ finale. It also found great use for ALL the Muppets, instead of reducing the less popular guys to background extras for 95% of the film. It is my favorite Muppet movie by far.

sharethe leash is prob becasue he's out of control and wild like an animal... not a pet... a pet wouldn't make much sense... i think of him as a person like the rest of the band...
btw: i also prefer watching great Muppet caper over Muppet movie... reminds me of the last 2 films... Muppet movie like The Muppet more heartfelt... but GMP like Muppets most wanted was more of a wild ride with fun songs
