How come they're not in this "official" sequel? I mean, wouldn't it be funny if they turned out to be Ralphie and friends' manager at Higbees? But then that would require a little creativity and that's obviously not what they were going for.

Actually Scut was created for the movie. Grover was the main bully in the book. Still, going by that theory, it would have been nice to see them interact all buddy-buddy like with Ralphie and the gang.
