I seriously thought it was a joke. This is terrible looking. I don't exactly love the original, but this is awful.

My son sent me a text just 20 minutes ago about this.

You're not alone. When I was watching the trailer I thought it was a parody video of some kind. I just kept telling myself: This isn't real. This isn't real. This isn't real. THIS IS NOT REAL!

Apparently they must have *knew* that people would think it was a joke, as the phrase "official sequel" kept popping up so damn much in the trailer.

Just because they actually filmed it doesn't mean it isn't a joke.

I thought it was too. And didn't they already do a sequel that took place in summer time?

They did, it was called Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss. It took place when Ralph was a teenager. It actually wasn't too bad but nowhere near the classic that A Christmas Story was.

There was indeed such a movie. It was originally titled "My Summer Story" but then changed to "It Runs in the Family"

I thought it was an April Fools joke, but then I remembered it is September.
