olds man driving a pontiac?

I believe it's a 1937 Oldsmobile. One clue that it's not a Pontiac: the absence of Pontiac chrome stripe trim on the trunk.

Nice looking car, but too bad they didn't get a '38 Olds as used in the original movie.

Well, this is supposedly five years later, so he could have switched brands, although Pontiac was considered to be a notch or two below Olds in the GM hierarchy. My dad was a big Chevy man for decades, but for some reason he bought a new Pontiac Bonneville in the '70s. I guess something about it caught his eye. It happens.
