First of all the dog couldn't have been around since the grown children received him as a gift as children. He would be like 30 and no dog lives that long. We are supposed to believe Bucky is Diane Keaton's father? He's 10 years older than her or that Marisa Tomei is a few years younger than Diane Keaton when she's 20 years older than her?!
sharei thought having arkin play keaton's dad was a stretch since he's only 12 years older than she, but it didn't detract from the film for me. diane keaton looks young for her age so it kinda just worked.
