I know not to judge a film by its trailer but holy *beep* whole 2-minute trailer is literally just the main character foreplaying with a bunch of different guys in different places while a some other guys try to join in (sometimes without consent). Is there any substance in this movie, or at least development for the promiscuous protagonist? Without that it seems like this movie could be spreading the wrong kind of message but then again, I haven't seen it.
shareYes, there's a lot of substance to this movie; however, it's not exactly a 'feel-good' one, as I'm sure you picked up on from the trailer. With that said though, I don't think it's 'spreading' or 'preaching' a message, perse' - it's actually quite realistic re to what lengths some teenage girls (in particular) will go to, if they're lonely and in order to be accepted or perhaps 'popular.' It leaves a lot of room for discussion - I liked the movie a lot, even though it was somewhat depressing/dark.
