not much interest in this movie i guess.Madras Cafe generated some hype

"Satyagraha" - Overall a very good attempt. I liked the way P.Jha has used various themes to create a political/social drama movie. Credit is also given to all star cast for great performances too. Ajay Devgan, Amitabh Bachan, Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Rao have all played their characters well.

However, I would not give this movie more than 7/10 due to a number of reasons. First of all certain angles in the film leaves the audience a little lost in the story and therefore makes one wonder what is going on. Secondly, certain parts that create excitement as to how the story can lead from there is not well carried on to concluding the film. For example when Ajay Devgan gains intelligence report, they do not use it against the government to fight their case effectively and that part falls weak. Furthermore, the accidental death of Akhilesh was actually a murder. Though Sangram (Balram's) younger brother is arrested for the murder of Akhilesh, they still didn't carry that story through strong enough and again it falls weak in meeting the audiences expectations. Finally the film throughout is entertaining and runs at a steady pace but ending is very sudden and not well concluded.

The film has its ups and downs but in recent time, fairly good political/social entertainer that can be enjoyed with family. In comparison to previous political drama such as Rajneeti, I would have to say that this was a much better and improved attempt and I enjoyed it more than Rajneeti!
