Why are so many of the stories so depressing?
It's a hard series to watch as you are just watching despair after despair. I watched two series worth and the special on Netflix.
The lightest story I can recall is the teenager that hit the old woman with his car. Think about that.
Really? I've been transfixed so far. The first episode made me cry - happy tears.
shareRemember that this is an oppressed people. Many of their stories involve struggle even the good stories. I agree I'd love to see more upbeat stories but seeing as it's rare to see tv shows and movies involving aborigines, it's important for them to show what their lives are really like before they can engage you with happily-ever-after stories.
