You'll be mad at me for this but I think this is better than the original Hellboy movie.

I watched it last night on Netflix and loved it - way more than the other 2 movies.
I was confused when it came out though so looked it up on IMDB today and was shocked to see all the hate it received and how poorly it did at the Box Office.
I really loved the contemporary music and contrary to almost every review here, I thought the CGI was incredible- so much so I wondered if they had used some kind of puppets to get the monsters so lifelike?
I really don’t get all the hate?
It had the misfortune of coming out right around the same time as Avengers End Game.

I read today in the IMDB trivia section that Mila Jovovich said that despite the brutal reviews upon its release, she thought it could become a cult classic over time and I can absolutely see that as a possibility.
I too thought it was a fun ride!
