Rated 14A in Canada?? *spoilers*

A man's penis gets bitten off in great and lengthly detail and it's suitable for 14 year olds? Should be 18A (if not R). Ridiculous. Thanks for the surprise 'certifications' and 'parental guide' (which I edited). Too bad, I was enjoying the movie but then had to shut it off because family was around and it went needlessly too far.

No way this should be 18A.

Note that in Canada we don't have a single, national ratings board like the MPAA in the U.S. Instead, each province or region sets its own rating based on local standards. When you see a Canadian rating, it is either specific to a given province, or it is an average based on all areas.

The Canadian rating for Bad Milo! is for British Columbia only. This is important because the BC board is known to be especially lenient, especially on appeal.

So while I agree that 14A is too low, its not like it really means much. This rating does not represent most of Canada.

There aren't many 18A movies in Canada. It's just not an issue here.

I'm absolutely certain most 14 year olds see more graphic violence than a penis being bitten off by a REALLY fake looking creature.
