I don't understand in the "same pattern writing" scene

There is a scene where Finkel shows his wife a comparison between his writing (and some drawings) in a book with Longo's writing (and some drawings) in two pieces of paper. Then his wife say "that's weird"

Is it just a coincidence ?
or is it something "supra natural" connection between Finkel and Longo ?

Is this "same pattern writing" in the real true story also ?
