Any issues with the blu-ray?

Picked it up today. Was gonna watch it tonight. It begins to load than stops. I have to keep hitting stop or open a million times to get the disc out.

To make sure it wasn't my player I popped in a few other blu-rays and zero issues. Either I got a defective copy or for some reason or another it isn't compatible with my player. Had an issue like this once back in the DVD days. One film wouldn't play in my more expensive player, but worked fine in my cheap lousy player.

The blu-ray has no scratches or any damage on the disc. But it just won't fully load and sort of locks up

I'd take it back for an exchange, sometimes they just have a manufacturing defect. When I have done that they exchanged it without question.

Did you check to see if you need any firmware updates? sadly that is sometimes the problem with BD discs which is why despite having a BD player I still prefer to buy dvds.

reply

No. Yeah know I'm sure it'll be fine, but I've heard a few people sometimes update the firmware and the player stops working. It's a small percentage, but still, the player Forsaken won't work on isn't the most expensive player, but it wasn't cheap either and since Forsaken I've had 4 other blu-ray's that either won't play or freeze up and skip.

I also have a cheap 60$ player and all play fine on that machine, go,figure. I also have a region free player, but I only use they for region 2. My luck I'd try the disc and it would get stuck in the machine. Getting a decent region free player isn't cheap. But it's just odd my expensive player gets all whacky with 5 blu-ray's out of over 500, but yet my cheap player no issues.
