This movie looks awful!!!!

Kiefer and Donald Shuterland father and son together in a movie I've a bad feeling about it and then there's Demi Moore who nowadays the few movies she mades are heap of craps.

You are so wrong. The Sutherlands are both excellent actors. They have been waiting for years to find the right script in order to make a movie they would be proud of and this is the one they decided on and it is a labor of love for them. Demi Moore has acted very little recently but is actually a very good actress. (A few Good Men and Ghost). The rest of the cast is excellent as well. I think this photo of the set is pretty awesome. pic.twitter.com/HxD41DXWZ5. Check it out.

So, there's no trailer yet, no poster, not even any stills, you haven't seen a bloody script, and you're saying it "looks" awful?....yeah keep talking out of your ass..

Having spent the last 8 weeks working on this film I can honestly write the following:

1 The script is well written.
2 The performances by all cast members are truly amazing.
3 The overall look (lighting/camera/costumes/locations) is excellent.
4 The work ethic of all techs from various provinces was second to none.
5 Director Jon C did a masterful job.
No comment on Producers.

Thank you for setting the record straight. IMDB is full of know it all naysayers who think nothing of bashing a film with no knowledge.

Having just watched this at TIFF, the script is terrible, the performances are laughable by all except the father, Donald Sutherland and the man playing Gentlemen Dave.

I bet that when it releases it would be straight to DVD or in VOD.

Thank you eduyus for reminding of us all how amusing trolls can be. However, stinky trolls farting out of their mouth can open up the conversation about a film which seems to have all the elements of quality. I can speak from the experience of nearly a decade as friend to Michael Wincott, and 24 years following his work, that he is very particular about the roles and the projects he chooses. If Michael says this was a fun set, great cast, and very competent crew, then it means the film will likely be pretty damn good. Mr. Cassar's reputation and recent work speak volumes about what we can expect from this film. I can't wait to see it.

Thanks for your positive comments David, cms, and dreamscape!

Kiefer Sutherland has a lot of great stills from FORSAKEN on his webpage: http://kiefersutherland24.com/forsaken.html.

... on his webpage ...
"His"? He doesn't own that site. It's a fan site.

Quoting from the page footer:

Wow!! Amazing review from London Evening Standard!
"Forsaken is beautifully directed by Jon Cassar (best-known for TV work such as 24), nobly photographed by Rene Ohashi and almost proverbially scripted by Brad Mirman...it is the tension between Donald Sutherland, 80, with flowing white locks but steely eyes, giving his best performance for years, and his son Kiefer Sutherland, 48, with a fierce presence of his own, acting together for the first time, that makes this film so terrifically moving."

Not so awful after all.

reply

Its decent. I enjoyed it, could have been better but I liked the ending.

I like to watch movies when using the treadmill. Do not know if I would do it otherwise.

reply

We just watched it and thought it was good. Not award winning, but worth watching.

reply

It was like a drawn out episode of The Big Valley. Don't get me wrong, I like the Big Valley. I just wouldn't pay any $ to watch it.
