What are some great Deadpool comics?

I'm looking for some great Deadpool comics? Anyone know any good ones where he fights Wolverine, Sabretooth.... and ZOMBIES?? I would appreciate it if I could get some real hardcore fans to recommend me some great ones.

Joe Kelly easily wrote the best stuff and he is often considered the definitive Deadpool writer. You can buy his run in trades, just pick up "Deadpool Classic Volumes 1,2,3,4, and 5" and you'll get the entire run. Believe me, it's as good as they say.

As for some current stuff.....Well, "Deadpool kills the Marvel Universe" looks cool. "Uncanny X-force" is great but Deadpool isn't always given the spotlight. The "Cable and Deadpool" stuff is good too but like Daniel Way's series it often ignores continuity.

If you're looking for stuff with Wolverine, Sabretooth, and Zombies. Well "Uncanny X-force" and Joe Kelly's run has it's Wolverine and Deadpool moments, also the run titled "The Deep End" or the "Wolverine Origins" series is nothing but 4 issues of Deadpool fighting Wolverine. For Sabretooth the only thing I can think of was the "Deadpool Agent of Weapon X" run, followed by the "Funeral for a Freak" run.

As for Zombies, the 13 issue ongoing called "Deadpool Merc With A Mouth" is right up your alley. Lots of zombies in that. Also the new Deadpool ongoing coming out in november sounds like something you'd like. It's supposed to have zombie USA presidents in it.

Hope this helps.

Awesome!! This is great! Thank you so much for typing all this for me. I really appreciate it. Would you know if there some zombie moments in Deadpool vs Marvel Universe? Thank again cartoonist726.

Sadly no, no zombie moments. There are some really good death scenes though. They skip a few of tougher opponents like Doctor Doom, Ghost Rider, Black Panther, etc. But The death scenes we do get are just awesome.

Oh damn! So what comic is this from? ----->25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l5ncktQJN61qcdkbeo1_500.jpg It cracks me up with his sadistic sense of humor and would love to know where that scene is from.

It's from the end of the Cable and Deadpool run, I think it was the issue where Deadpool teams up with Doctor Strange or Brother Voodoo. Issue 47 or Issue 48

Deadpool kills the Marvel Universe is HIGHLY recommended - it's 4 short issues but dear God was it funny/shocking/wtffffffff

Honestly...since they made him the "new wolverine" he hasn't been that great IMO.
Like if all you want to read it for is schmucky comedy then yeah the current series should float your boat, but in my personal opinion it's stupid overload.

"Deadpool MAX" was terrible.

"Deadpool Kills" was ok, showed a darker side to the character, but is essentially a 4-part "what if" comic.

The Marvel Zombies spin-off with the zombie head was again a bit "what if" and too heavy on the comedy for me.

His appearances in "uncanny x-force" were, not bad but pretty minimal.

The series that started in the 90's though?
EXCELLENT in nearly every way, well maybe before the last say 15 issues.
Though yeah I'd highly recommend it. Shows both the funny side and the part that's dark, tortured, self hating and cruel...he's closer to the "villain" early x-force portrayed him as, though what's going on inside his head and his life is a lot deeper and richer an experience than his "bit part" appearances ever let on.
THIS is the best deadpool series. It doesn't get better.
I challenge anyone to read it and claim anything is superior.

This lead into "Cable and Deadpool" which was an interesting series, a bit hit and miss but overall of good quality and a good companion to the aforementioned 90's series.

Preceeding both of those, he had two limited series "the circle chase" and "sins of the past" that tied into eachother. Those are also in my reco list.

The series before the current one (started off sometime around secret invasion as I recall) was not bad either, though to me the start of the slow descent into what's been mediocre by comparison, and just going off fan based popularity ever since.

The current one and everything recent...just...nah...

Daniel Way had a great run with the character. It's the funniest stuff I've read for the character, actually. And the new "Marvel NOW!" Deadpool run by Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan ain't half bad either.

I actually rather liked Daniel Way's comedic writing. As far as his stories went, they were nothing special. I think the two guys doing Marvel Now is a lot better. They seem to be able to combine story and comedy better than Daniel Way did.

As to the question at hand, the Marvel Now run is a pretty good place if you want zombies. Not that he particularly fights zombies, but he does fight the undead. A necromancer brings the dead presidents back to life and it's Deadpool's job to kill them. (I guess you could technically call them zombies, but they don't behave like zombies.)

I like the original run and Cable and Deadpool for the story, but personally find the Daniel Way and on stuff funnier.

I would not suggest Thunderbolts or Uncanny X-Force if you want to get to know the character better because he tends not to be as much of a focus in either of those series. It feels like they brought him in to sell comics and then after that, they tend to neglect him. They're not bad as far as team comics go, but don't read them if you want to get into Deadpool comics. They really should be read for the team itself OR if you're wanting a little something extra with Deadpool in it.

Demons run when a good man goes to war.

Late as reply but regarding the zombies there was a four part series last year called "Night of the living Deadpool." So check that out if you haven't and are still interested.

Also the start of the ongoing series "Deadpool: Marvel now." He fights zombie presidents like zombie Abraham Lincoln for example.

My favourite story arc is part of the marvel now series, a five part arc titled "The good, the bad and the ugly." It's more serious but that's what makes it so great.

I also enjoyed the four part series "Deadpool vs carnage."

I'm sort of a new reader as of 2 years ago so all of these are fairly recent just by the way.
