No way on earth...

No way on earth that this movie deserves a 7 (current score) - I don't think anyone could sit through 5 minutes of this non-sense.

I am guessing the producers had some funds that were theirs to spend, and they spent it by making this "movie". My rating: 1, only because you can't give zero stars.

Oh yes, what a shame other people might've liked something you didn't. The horror! They must be liars and charlatans and cheats.

I really, really thought we've moved past this inane and frankly vulgar criticism. If a particular piece of art doesn't speak to you, fine. But to go out and actually insult not only the person(s) who made it, but the viewers? That's rough. That's sad. One of this film's most moving and poignant insights is that everyone gets something different out of art, and we should be thankful for the multitude of perspectives a single piece of work can induce. I suggest you open your mind a bit more and learn how to embrace things that may not fit neatly into your evidently narrow mindset.

Before I invest money and/or time on a movie I do a little research. Once in awhile I am disappointed. I check reviews, who is in it, aubject matter etc. For instance, if I knew it was about transformers, street racing with lots of squealing tires, celbrities who I know from past experience can not act their way out of a paper bag, I don't waste my time.

I do know many of those types of movies make a lot of money. So more power to you if you want to go see them.

That doesn't automatically make my kinf of movie "the worst movie ever made, "boring" etc.

If you treasure intelligent, humane, richly civilized films that work as reflective meditations on life & art, then you'll have no trouble sitting through it & enjoying each wonderful moment of it.

If you prefer stuff blowed up real good, however ....

Owlwise - Couldn't have said it better myself, this was a fantastic blend of what makes us human and what makes art. I actually saw the world a little differently after seeing this movie and have since taken an interest in the fabulous works of Brueghel. I was utterly enchanted and didn't want the movie to end.

It is a work of beauty, peace, and great insight. Not everyone is ready for that. Some are scared of the sort of feelings this film asks of the audience.
