Tough question. I put it in the top 3, at the lease, more than anything because of the Brughels. My dream is to go back there and stay in the room with them all day.
The National Museum in London and National Museum in DC are also tops on the list, as is the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and the major museum in Munich.
The only major museums of Western Art I have not seen are in Madrid, Russia and Rome.
I suspect I would also like the Tate. I've been to the old Tate (The Fairy Feller's Masterstroke is a hoot), but not to the new.
When I go to a new city, the first thing I do after the essentials have been taken care of (hotel, food, etc.), I head for the art museum. A couple of others I have liked: Moma in LA; the Orsay; the National Portrait Museum in London; the Uffizi; etc.
