James definitely would be a very poor parent at this juncture of his life. But when young Rose overdoses James suddenly thinks of somebody other than himself and he races to save the girl's life. By the way the actresses who portrayed Rose (Angourie Rice) was awesome in this film.

I think kids know more than what we think but there is no reason to allow one's young daughter to view such a spectacle! Especially if there were a lot of heated sex near the end with hot girls.
