DEAR MODS: PLZ REDUCE MY POSTING QUOTA. 30 MIN IS WAY TOO MUCH.

reply

Sounds like you're a little too sensitive, buddy lol.
I have seen a lot of depressing films and this was not one of them.

I don't mean to quote Gladiator but were you not entertained?

reply

Awesome film. Makes ya think.

reply

Yes, I made that post lol.
How come you are repeating it back to me?

reply

In a nutshell.

reply

You need to make longer sentences lol.
And they should make sense too.
Just for future reference....

reply

You should not use the word "lol" in your own sentence because it really did not make any sense. Unless you really "laughed out loud" after saying "You need to make longer sentences." That would be pretty sad... Just for future reference...

For my own part, films that show what would be like if everything was torn away just make me appreciate what I have, and the people around me, that much more.

reply

Yes, they are made specifically to depress you. I've been in on movie meetings, and "what can we do to depress Hardline_Pro" is often a topic of conversation. ;)

Despite so much of the corporate approved, bleached and safe obnoxious budget films out these days there is still some movies out there that strive to tell a story, make you think, make you feel.

This movie hits on many levels it makes you think about your own mortality, what is important in life, hoping the characters reach their goals.

In all honesty if a movie does make you feel it is doing something wrong.

Better not let the OP see 'The Road' then...
