Why is everybody complaning about the accent??

I read that several people have difficult to understand what the characters are saying. I mean really??? I'm from Chile and I could understand pretty well, wtf people?

Some people just have trouble with accents. I had trouble with Jim's accent at the beginning but was I was used to it, no trouble at all.

Stand up for what is right, even if you are standing alone.

Basically a lot of Americans do not understand any accent other than their own proving their own ignorance.

Americans don't have trouble with Aussie accents.

Not only that, there are several accents that exist within the US. There is no such thing as an American accent. 

I make some people cry. 

Basically a lot of idiots make general, baseless, sweeping statements like this, proving their own ignorance and jelousy.

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

Lol It's so weird. People thinking that someone is inferior or stupid just because they have trouble understanding an accent that they're likely never exposed to. It's not that big of a deal. It's definitely not serious enough to go into an anonymous formum acting smug and arrogant.

Wow someone understood the accents perfectly. Doesn't take much for some people to feel special, I guess.

I know, right!?!?!

That's unfair. I have trouble with some US accents. For example in The Rover, another decent Australian apocalypse type movie, I had to go with subtitles to make out anything the American guy was saying.

...then whoa, differences...

reply

I think some people just have trouble with different accents in general.

If you think people are having trouble with the Australian accents in this movie, you should see how bad some struggle with the British or Irish accents in some movies (especially in movies that involve a lot of street slang).

reply

How dare those damn Australians speak with an Australian accent. Clearly every film should be released in English with a neutral midwestern American accent. Next thing you know France will be wanting to release movies in French, Japan in Japanese, Germany in German, etc. etc. etc. It will be anarchy!

reply

Because those people are lazy, uncultured, whiny idiots.
