For my money, the original 1996 movie starring Harrison Ford and Julia Roberts was 10x better!

Sorry, but this Big budget remake of the original 1996 Chris Columbus picture is far inferior. Ben Batfleck is no Harrison Ford.

No dude, you're not understanding me. This movie is based on the novel of the same name that was released in 2012, two years before it was released. It's not a remake of anything.

Again... there IS NO 1996 original. That trailer is a fake. You can go to Harrison Ford's IMDb page to see that this movie doesn't exist. Or even simpler, just read the description of that trailer you keep promoting - it tells you flat out it's a fan trailer, describing it in detail. It also tells you which movies the clips are actually from.

All it takes is a simple Google search to see that Gone Girl came into existence when it was published as a book in 2012. Then it was released as a film in 2014 - in other words, THIS is the original movie version! This is not rocket science.

Nope, you are totally wrong.
The remake is nothing to write home about, but the original movie was too family oriented, with Columbus directing it and Roberts being as boring as always. She didn't bring any edge. I understand she's a great target for a homicide, but Ford too was not very convincing as the horny dog husband/killer suspect/victim.
I prefer the new cast and director.

Also, no Ratajkosky tits in it, that scene alone is half the value of the 2014 movie.
The original used a young Keri Russell and who wants to see that naked?
