Kia says that since he's technically dead the hull Woshi Finger hold thing won't work on him, but when Po does it too himself when grabbing on too Kia, shouldn't Kia stay in the mortal realm and Po would go.

shareIt seems that the Wuxi finger hold sends the person it's used on to the Spirit Realm. Normally the target doesn't hold onto another person, so who's really to say it can't work the way it did in this movie? Instead of killing and obliterating the target it merely opens a portal big enough for them to be sent directly to the Spirit Realm. In this case, since Po was on top of Kai, the portal sent both of them.
