The Christian elephant in the room

Braat's wife is quite lovely. She is also Christian, which may explain a great deal more about how they got together and why Braat marries her than the film lets on.

The way this film seems to downplay Braat's sense of being on a mission for Christ in India reminds me of the Intelligent Design movement, which is a Christian ideological movement cloaked in secularist rhetoric about doubt and skepticism.

Blood Brother conveys the impression of "stealth evangelism," but I have to admit it: if that's what it is (in part), it works.

I have posted Hoover's demurral in a separate thread.

It was just a broken link, but thanks for letting me know.

I fixed it.

There's an important answer to the "christian elephant in the room" by the filmmakers - it's good to see that they distance themselves from any affiliation to the evangelical church and/or missionary work through the film

I absolutely love this documentary, thanks for the link but WOW that is a poorly written piece. There is a misspell in the first sentence, sheesh!
