Funny, I don't see a release date for India

With more than a sixth of the world's population, and given the fact that this is a movie set in India, about Indian children...

you would think that Indians would snap this up for theatrical distribution - in a heartbeat.

Don't think they're too interested in a white man's Excellent Adventure

Some questions:

Do you think this "white man's" experience in India can be dismissed or mocked as an "excellent adventure" and if so, why?

Do you think India is already inundated with documentaries of this kind? I would love to see one. Perhaps a film about Indian encounters with foreigners in India, especially those working in NGOs. Or one about how destitute, AIDs-infected children are being helped by middle-class Indian volunteers who have abandoned a life of ease for one of relative hardship?

Look forward to your recommendations.

This is made by westerners for westerners. India have their own cinema culture that doesn't need a lot of western input.

Don't over think it.

There's not exactly a big market for primarily English-language documentaries in India, or for independent/arthouse-type films in general.
