Any good Canadian movies?

Everything I have seen made in Canada has been f-grade crap so much so as soon as I learn a film is Canadian I avoid it like the plague. Surely they have made a single decent movie at some point aside from Porky's? (and well that was partly American)

So yes a challenge to Canadian film fans, I need a good Canadian movie, one that will not shut down my brain and make me want to pluck out my eyeballs as I am about to just write off Canadian cinema for life.

imdb, once for discussing movies, now a facebook substitute. Off topic and all drama.

I am not sure that being Canadian makes a movie bad. Someone has instigated a method where the making of a bad movie can be profitable. Think back to the original PRODUCERS and that is going back some time. Many scams have been introduced by the clever faceless mostly legally minded. Canada is another area that is being exploited in this way. How can anyone justify the full production not only of a movie such as this but then making DVDs. Also do remember that quite a few seem to have religious themes or backing. Another great move by the great evils called religions that attract so much tax relief and other avoidance scamming. Do you think that the Scientology grandee actually believe that nonsense. They and the Mormons are creating fortresses for those with money. The charity status must be stopped. They should only be allowed a very few percent savings interest points above joe bloggs. Nothing else and NO taxpayer PROTECTION for poor investment just like Joe Bloggs.

I suspect this film is a bunch of actors getting together to make thier own movie over a couple of spare weekends. They all seem to also be producing/writing/directing it themselves. Even the cinema photographer has an acting credit. Hard to believe anyone made any money off it - except perhaps whoever it is that bundles this junk together to be sold as bargain basement DVDs.
