Preachy Watermelon Doomsday Propaganda

Just watching the trailer, I see they blame capitalism and "industrial" argiculture. It ends with the fabricated Einstein quote on bees: http://quoteinvestigator.com/2013/08/27/einstein-bees/

Watermelon: Green on the outside, Red on the inside (political metaphor)

Three More Years! Bee Stupid! $17 trillion!

I'm sure this is flamebait, but watch the actual movie. The issue is complicated, and the film doesn't offer easy answers.

Also the quote is not presented as legitimate.

I agree. This was probably just a troll. The film actually surprised me. At first it seemed to be favoring the side of capitalism, but the ending was pretty sincere. They end by claiming the africanized honey bee is the future of honey. They never said honeybees are going anywhere - just evolving, as everything does.

I thought the film's message was that feral bees, i.e. African bees, were the future and that it was domestication of bees that have heralded their demise.

Intent ends, spirit continues
