Nick shouldn't be punished for what happened to Jesus.
It was self defense. He had no knowledge of Jesus injury. Anyone getting attacked would defend themselves. If he's going to prison for anything it's because he cut his anklet monitor. And with a good lawyer maybe he won't go to prison as he never intended to flee but had good intention helping Mariana who was in trouble. He shouldn't be going to jail for an act of kindness that simply shows how far he has come in his treatment.

Since Jesus hit him first, I can see Nick not being charged for that, but it would be unrealistic for him not to get in any trouble for leaving his house. Yes, he did it to help a friend, but she already had her entire family looking for her, he really didn't have to go. Hopefully Mariana and the Fosters will help explain the situation so he gets off lightly but I would be surprised if he got no consequences whatsoever.

I'm assuming that Mariana will be obligated to vouch for him as it was partially her fault. Had she not been taking amphetamines she would not have been tripping and hallucinating the chain reaction that brought him into it would never have happened.Also, like Brandon, I hope she has to face the consequences of her drug use full day on without any loophole that will lessen the punishment.

Hed get manslaughter. The same as if you punched someone in the nose and it broke and killed that person. Youre still responsible.

Secondly, he did break his ankle monitor and csme in distance of the two people that he is not supposed to BECAUSE he was already a threat to their lives. (Gun at school, breaking in entering and possesion of a weapon in marianas room.) Even if he could maybe get self defense thats too many other problems going on.

People always assume "self defense" means you can use just any force you want to.
If someone punches you and you shoot him, it's still unnecessary force.

I'm not saying that he should get punished. He was attacked and reacted out the purest instinct. He didn't knock Jesus on a rock or anything.

Still, "self defense" won't save you every time.

And with a good lawyer maybe he won't go to prison as he never intended to flee but had good intention helping Mariana who was in trouble.

That doesn't give him an excuse for breaking out. He was on house arrest. A friend of his is in trouble? He could have called the cops. He didn't have to go flying out to meet her.
