Callie Can't be that stupid!
It looked like he was driving in the wrong lane she swerved back to the right one. He caused the accident. Not to mention he was holding her in the car against her will. Why would she run?!?

shareAnd there it is.
shareCallile is a hot mess. Jude has been becoming one.
shareThey all are!
Brandon: Kicked out of Julliard before he even started for fraud.
Callie: Arrested for fleeing the scene of an accident.
Jesus: In a coma after starting a fight.
Mariana: Taking, possibly addicted to ADHD Pills
Jude: Smoking weed and trespassing.
But I agree Callie makes the worst decisions.
Like seriously, why didn't she just call the tip line from a payphone or something and just say she witnessed the accident and give the license plate or even the name of the driver and hang up. The police would, in theory, follow it up...
The biggest issue is on a supposedly very busy 4 lane road there was no other cars around to see the accident and no cameras either? lol!!!
Srsly, the drama this show tries to ramp up ends up just heading into lame territory.
Riddle wrapped inside an enigma, wrapped inside a taco.
She was trying to get way for him. She was scared. She shouldn't have ran or made that statement. I feel like she shouldn't get in trouble but a felony is a felony. Even if she was protecting herself.
shareThe only reason they are charging her is because that cop is shady.
shareI understand her running from the guy, she was scared and there didn't seem to be anyone in the immediate area that could help her. For all she knew, he could have thrown her back in the vehicle or worse, harmed her before fleeing. She should have ran until she was near someone who could assist her and then call the cops. She waited far too long to give her statement. Also, she should have taken Aaron's advice and not brought up the Martha family's murder case. That is ultimately what is nipping her in the butt in this whole scenario.
shareBut it's not. I'm not 100% sure (but highly reasonably believe) that since she was a passenger, she doesn't have the legal responsibility to stay at the scene until cops arrive. There could be a misdemeanor charge of obstruction but it could be mitigated if she can prove she felt her life was in danger.
shareI will say that Callie can be a bit clueless at times and doesn't use her head very well.
shareShe ran because she was afraid of the murderer driving the car. While she should have gone back to the scene after talking with Aaron, she received the phone call about Jesus.
"...some people out there are afraid of what's different..." -Lena Adams Fostershare
Callie is what gives the show drama--without her constant poor decisions, the other characters would have pretty good lives and few problems.
shareShe run because the kidnapper was still there. She was still in danger. Do you ever saw a movie in which a criminal and his victim have an accident and the victim stays with the very much alive criminal?
shareThey're not called the FUBAR Fosters for nothing!
