kids bad decision making process....why

I know some aspects of this have been covered a lot. I have a comment on the fact that Foster kids are always doing terrible things, most of the time simultaneously.

At the beginning of the section that just started, Callie contacted a would be murderer after being told not to, Mariana reconnected with her stalker, Brandon cheated in an illegal way and now cannot go to Julliard, Jesus went to find Mariana's stalker rather than using the police for help and Jude is smoking pot and breaking onto someone's boat- being chased by the police.

I don't understand why the writers of the show do not address the decision making process. These kids live in a good home, go to a great school and have a lot of opportunities. I believe your environment does shape you. When I was a kid ( and even now sometimes) what my parents are going to think of me influences my decision making. I don't want anyone to think badly of me if it can be prevented.

The parents have not only suggested the kids do not do certain things ( get involved in an active murder investigation, for one) they have forbade it. None of this is registering at all with their children. I think it would more realistic to have at least one of these kids trying to do the right thing.

What do you think?

I was just coming on here to say the same thing! And Callie is the worst one it seems! That girl walks head first into trouble with the purest intentions! What kind of blight does this family have?

And let's not forget Brandon sleeping with his ex, you know it won't end there!
