Now That The Message Boards Are Being Shut Down

So now that IMDB is being a bunch of pricks and shutting the message boards down are there any other forums on the web like this that people can have discussions with each other about TV shows? It's really dumb that IMDB's solution for this problem is to tell people to use the IMDB twitter of facebook pages. You can't have actual discussions on twitter/facebook. They only allow for short and quick messages. Really, IMDB are being a bunch of douchebags by shutting the message boards down.

So if anybody knows of other sites that have forums where we can discuss TV shows then please list those here. Thank you.

My experience with Reddit is that it is awful, really sick. See "Is Lisa Schlitt's father alive? : Jeopardy" at:

I see discussions in Reddit where people are ruder than they are here. I really, really don't consider Reddit to be a healthy environment for discussion.

Instead of creating hundreds of off-topic discussions like this, I wish someone would create a discussion somewhere that is appropriate and then post a link in places like here.

Then I can ask questions and get the best answers available from loyal fans and my comments would be read by hundreds or thousands more members. Of course the number of responses from other members could be too much for everyone to read.

The owners and moderators of themoviedb don't want to take on creating forums for every show. They don't want us, nor do they need us.

It doesn't look like an option.

There is a thread there talking about the demise of this forum. The owner told everyone that he is adding boards to each individual movie and show. Most are up now. Its true that most of the mods were against this, so the owner told them he would be seeking new mods specifically for the expansion. It is happening.

These boards are literally the only reason I go to IMDB, so I'm thrilled to see a site owner with the brains to welcome us😉

Anyone else wonder how long it'll be until IMDB notices the lack of traffic to their site after the social aspect is removed?😏

seriously! i mostly come here for the messege boards. they will definitely lose a lot of traffic to their site/app.
