Memorial insult

I'm sure everyone has their own take, but doing a joke during the memorial for t.v. personalities and professionals is at best, in incredibly poor taste. Of course that's what I would expect from anything hosted by Kimmel.

They always worry about going over in time on these award shows, but if they'd cut stupid bits like Jimmy Kimmel celebrating his life (yuk yuk), it would help a lot. I know they will recognize those who have passed later in the show, but you're right...that was slightly disrespectful.

Yes, I think it was in very poor taste to make a comedy bit out of the memorials, the most somber, non-funny part of any awards show. It was just a bad idea.

I did like, though, when Ron Howard later did his Opie impression remembering Andy Griffith to open the "real" memorials part of the show.

Yeah, that was fine and Howard certainly knew the man so it's cool. Kimmel thing was all about Kimmel and it was not the time nor place.
