Which is a better film? When i ask this, yes story is indeed important. I want to be moved.

please stay away from BOXTROLLS. its truly a nightmare for me to watch that movie.
although i forcibly watched it till end. coz i wont leave any movie in the middle.
book of life is awesome. everything is perfect. i really thought this will win oscars but its shocking that it dint even enter into oscars.. \😰
They are both fairly different stories both about being true to who you are. One is a very colorful and dazzling computer generated animated movie and the other is more mute but fantastically animated in stop motion. Both movies are fantastic in their own rights and I suggest giving both a try. As long as you're at it, give Song of the Sea a go too. That one is definitely moving. Do you really only have time for one animated movie?

I've seen both. For me, Boxtrolls, no question.
I was bored during most of Book of Life. It wasn't bad per se, just boring as heck. Plus I am so so so tired of love triangle stories.
Boxtrolls kept me surprisingly interested.
Book of Life by FAR!
I was actually very intrigued and glad I watched that film instead...I watched Box Trolls and it truly was a confusing, weak-plot film.
Whoa! I saw BOTH today! (Although, I saw The Boxtrolls at least once before). The Book of Life bored me so I'll go with Boxtrolls. Book of Life did have great voice work.
