Loved it!

I just got my copy yesterday and checked it out. I've been a fan of Brad's for a little over a year now and I pretty much dig most of the stuff he has done. Not saying I'm a total fanboy and that everything he does is gold, but I rarely get disappointed.

What I like about this movie (as well as Game Boys) is that it almost has a Kevin Smith feel to it. The dialogue , the obscure references , etc... The actors did a great job, especially Jake, that dude cracks me up lol. It also helps that there's a little T&A in there which I was not expecting. It also reminds me of a Family Guy episode, because of the several plot changes/additions. Some may not like that aspect, but I think most fans of Brad understand it.

That's another thing, in order to enjoy this movie to its fullest, you have to be familiar with the style of humor. If you're coming in new, then you may not get it. As a comedy/horror film, it works very well, so maybe a newcomer would appreciate that aspect.

Overall, this wasn't what I was expecting and I mean that in a good way. I thought it was just gonna be more of a snob review with a movie around it. This puts a whole new spin and perspective on how the character came to be and I dig that. Everyone involved did a damn good job (as they do in all the films) and I can't wait to see what Brad and crew come up with in the future. If you're a snob fan, then I suggest you get this DVD right away! I mean, after all, it is "Lloyd approved" :).

I didn't get the Kevin Smith vive but I see what you're saying. It's definitely the best movie I've seen from anyone on that guywiththeglasses website. A quick re-write to sharpen things and trim it down a bit would of made it an excellent little movie to recommend to even non-fans.
