i wish i wanted to give him money

Cinema snob is my fav of these interwebz movie men. I find cinema snob reviews to be the most well polished and most entertaining of any of the people I have seen. I trust him almost blindly on what movies to go see now and I think he’s super cute.

I will never ever watch this movie.

I just think it looked really really bad. Like it had that one funny line…go ahead and say it in your mind fans <3. And that makes me sad because I have heard I can see Jillian’s, talent.

So why am I posting….someone please talk me into giving this random stranger my money for a product I really dont want. I like him. He looks like a teddy bear.

Ps…am I alone in thinking he looks too thin now? K, totes done being weirdo stalker now.

I have no idea why you would assume that anybody cares so much about exactly you of all people buying this movie that you must be talked into doing so. If you think it doesn't look like you'd like it and therefore you don't want to buy it, then don't buy it. I doubt that Brad Jones attracts the kind of fans that will reply with something like "you must buy the movie if you're a true fan because you have to support him".

However, I'd like to point out some things that I believe are not really apparent from the trailer, so you can make a more informed decision if you want to:
1. The (within the film mostly quite serious) slasher elements become much stronger and almost take over the entire movie after a while. It doesn't stop being a comedy, but the slasher plot isn't just going on in the background either (that's what it looked like in the trailer to me).
2. The humour is a bit different from the show, mainly because the Cinema Snob character's sense of humour barely appears in the movie. If you've watched some of Brad Jones's movies that are available for free on his site: That's more similar to the style of humour in this movie.
3. This can be concluded from the previous two: The Cinema Snob character infiltrating the film board is not really the main focus of the movie. That thankfully avoids that kind of "uh oh, there are two worlds clashing and he's in disguise, let's hope it doesn't get awkward and no shenanigans happen to keep his identity secret" situation being beaten to death when it wasn't even the funniest thing in the first place. On the downside, it also means there are barely any scenes of the Cinema Snob behaving like he does on the show. Although he did incorporate one of the reviews quite masterfully.

Take whatever you want from that.

A: I think your taking my post a tad too serous lol

B: you did convince me not to see it lol and that’s not a bad thing. I havent seen any of his other movies yet but I think his best form? Yeah form of comedy is within the cinema snob stuff. His other reviews never hit me very funny. I like watching tries, and when he randomly post him and his friends hanging out because it’s just cute but sounds like I was right in thinking it’s not for me.

Kinda sad lol I love the guy to death and I would love to hand him money in exchange for some product but just don’t care enough.

SAD

HEY, SEMI POPULAR INTERWEBZ MAN IF YOU EVER SEE THIS MAKE MOVIES FOR ME PERSONALLY

No one else….because you live to serve me yes?

*and for the love of god I’m kidding………cant believe I feel the need to disclaimer that lol*

Maybe you should WATCH THE MOVIE before you instantly write it off as being crap, especially if you supposedly like the show. That previous commenter was very misleading; if you like the show, you're going to like this movie. The sense of humor of the show is all over this movie, including in the character. The same inflections and the same attitudes are used in playing both the Snob and Craig, who "plays" the Snob, since they're both the same person. The movie is a dark comedic love letter to exploitation films, so if you want a Hard R cinema snob movie that fans and non fans will find something to enjoy, you'll like this movie; it's one of our best.

Apparently I took your movie a little differently than you intended to make it, but I still enjoyed it very much and it was more than worth the price to me. Maybe that wasn't obvious from my previous post. I also loved Midnight Heat, Hooker with a Heart of Gold, and Cheap (haven't watched the other two yet) as well as the show. So I wasn't trying to dissuate ddemim from buying the movie, just offering my take on it. Of course that take can still change after re-watching the movie. Anyway, I think it becomes increasingly obvious that there was barely any actual point to this thread in the first place, but it was a decent way to waste some time.

I still have yet to order the movie, but I plan to. No credit card makes these things more difficult, but I never needed one. I may purchase a pre paid one. I heard it was pretty good.

I have yet to see his movie. I bought his two CINEMA SNOB episode compilation DVDs earlier this year. I don't think I would mind seeing the movie, though. I enjoyed Brad's 80's DAN episodes, so seeing Brad and his friends all together in a movie might not be so bad.
