Petition for message boards

Signed! I bet IMDB is just trying to save a bit of money with this move... but what about the traffic generated by forum users?!

reply

I suspect their user traffic will decrease dramatically. I come here to the message boards on average 5 out of 7 days a week. Once the message boards are gone I might come here 5 times a year for information about an actor or tv show.

I wonder if my account at tv.com still works and if people still post there. I use to post there all the time before I started using these message boards.

tv.com forums died long ago too (from inactivity.)

Signed...without the forums I doubt I'd bother coming here often, I can get information I need from Google, the discussions are what makes this place so interesting.

This is stupid business by IMDB. Probably one of the most dumb bone head decisions I have ever seen. So there are trolls on your boards? Big deal there are trolls everywhere try youtube. The reason people come to this damn site is because of the message boards. Why come here when they can get information off of google? I won't support this site after they shut it down.
