Phil collins

Jude looks exactly like phil collins

reply

LOL I only checked out this movie page, because I thought Phil Collins was in it.

Holy smokes... 99 channels and there's nothing on! - The Kid (2000)

reply

"Exactly like" is undoubtedly a stretch but I can certainly see a resemblance.

In the motions and the things that you say...it all will fall, fall right into place.

You're right. Bad news for ex-sex-symbol Jude Law. It's a no fun, bein' a balding English-muhhnnn

reply

Ah ah I thought exactly the same thing when I saw the picture on Imdb frontpage.

reply

hahaha thats EXACTLY what i thought... i saw the poster and thought "wtf did they find an old phil collins miami vice episode"?

reply

Clearly he is finished as actor.....it is not strange because the last years, he made very bad films...

reply

What are you talking about? Name one film in the last 3 years that hasn't been a critical success. Grand Budapest? Oscar nominee. Side Effects? 7.1 rated. Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows grossed nearly $200 million. Hugo? 7.6 rating. By my count, the last "bad" film he made was Repo Man 5 years ago -- and event that was rated 6.3. Most actors would get down on their knees to have such "bad" films.

reply

"finished"? Hardly. Remember, a lot of good, interesting films actors star in are not mainstream or released to wide audiences.
The actors still get paid, get to travel, live the life. Just because YOU are disappointed with a particular film or performance doesn't mean THEIR career is over. For example, a film called "Genius" is now in post-production, about the editor at Scribner during Hemingway, Wolfe era. Jude stars as author Thomas Wolfe, with an all-star cast: Colin Firth, Nicole Kidman, Guy Pearce, Dominic West and Laura Linney. This film is an historical drama about writers, however, and probably won't be on the radar of many Americans. Their loss.

I think Jude Law is doing just fine.

reply

Probably their wallet can not say the same......

If the goal of every actor is to star in the highest-grossing movies, then Robert Downey Jr. is the best actor. Do you honestly believe that? I think Bryan Cranston is a much more interesting, better actor, but what has he done since Breaking Bad? I role in Godzilla, and other roles that surely don't pay as well as Iron Man 3.

reply

I believe that he is not the mother teresa of calcuta and he does not make films for free. At the end, if one actor wants be better actor, he would not be making films, he would be in a theater.

reply

What?? What's this bias against film acting? Theater acting is different. You have to project everything--your expressions, voice, etc. You don't have to do that on film; you can have very subtle expressions, and whisper lines sometimes. They're just different acting venues. Screw your prejudice against film actors!

Before I took a closer look at the poster, I thought it was Dave Matthews!

Cake or Death?

reply

Jude could do with a hair transplant if he wants to avoid the comparison!

reply

Thought the same thing!

reply

Yeah, *beep* him.
People have no worth if they don't have hair.

I guess Bruce Willis has no worth either,i sure could use some of that 25 million he gets per picture.
