new series now showing on bbc4 saturday evenings 9pm.not sure for how many weeks.good to have it back

Just wondering when this is meant to be set? It's hard to put a year on it and if the Young Montalbano is about 30 and the original is Inspector Montalbano about 50 would you think it set in the early 80s and the 2000s???? Thanks.

Yes I enjoy this show. Do you think we will ever see the original Montalbano back non our screens?

Original Montalbano is being filmed at the moment. I have a friend with Scicilian in-laws who keep her updated on it.
