Casting senior citizens as cops...

As far as I know, there's a mandatory retirement age for law enforcement officers and here we have a 75 year old and an almost 70 year old playing cops. It doesn't jibe at all.

there is no mandatory age or an older one in certain jurisdictions with certain job types... and the Southwest is pretty lenient on these county sheriffs who have been serving for decades

Texas has 254 counties and sheriffs and constables are elected officials. Its up to the voters who they want.

I don't see New Mexico being any different. I read about one New Mexico county where the sheriff had to double as the school bus driver. There are places where the only law is two hours away. This explains why people have guns. The same county as above shared the same district attorney with two other counties.

Loving county which is on the New Mexico/Texas border has like 154 people.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else
