Since they are so against allowing the children to attend an acting class with non-Romani people, why are they allowing camera crews to film their lives? Isn't that basically the same thing? Non-Romani camera crews, directors, etc. working with them on a TV show. Seems odd to me and hypocritical.

It's because Gypsies are about one thing MONEY. National Geographic is paying them LOTS of it.

Well there logic on a lot of things makes absolutely no sense but I'd be willing to bet not all the Gypsy families approve of this.
