In Europe gypsies have a negative reputation where they are poor, don't work, beg for money, and steal from people.
In the US, gypsies are all of a sudden rich? I mean according to the show, they live in New York City, throw lavish parties, and drive nice cars (Escalade)?
What? Plenty of Gypsy performers in Europe making money either singing or playing instruments, the Gypsies on the show do it with psychic reading shops.

They have such a content life in their own community, that money, wealth, and all the BS that regular people lust for doesnt necessariy have to appeal to them. They're culture doesn't look down on people for being poor, so they are free of the shame that comes with it in mainstream culture.
In the end, isn't that what life's about? Feeling loved and contented by the people who are closest to you.
