Rather weak( contains Spoiler)

If Andy could get in the front door why couldn't Sav ? Or at least hit his panic button for back-up. Rather contrived that he just so happened to return to the house and find the gun and that Finch was there.

reply

I thought it wasn't bad at all. Obviously they locked the front door again, we know they did because we saw them. Sav even says "they locked him in and me out". You would think though that he would radio for back up immediately, rather than after the beating was over, though it wouldn't have actually made a difference to Andy. As for the contrived meeting, I don't have a problem with that at all. They both waited until after the police had left the crime scene before returning. It's not inconceivable that they might end up there at the same time.

reply

On the other hand, it's even more inconceivable that the police would abandon a major crime scene after a few hours. In the real world it would be crawling with officers - not to mention the media - for days.

reply

All I could think during the beating, is why didn't sav press the panic button on his radio as soon as he realised what was happening.

reply

Why do you assume he did not press the button?

reply

I'm not police, but was told from a friend who is, that orange button will have every local officer sent to that location as quickly as possible.

We dont see him press the button, and we don't see any other police rush into the house. All we see is him calling for an ambulance and saying there was an officer down.

reply

Oh peeps, stop complaining about the panic button. It's called artistic licence. If there had been more police on the scene, the premise of the show would be null and void.

I think the whole incident did not take very long, but just seemed like that to the viewer. After all, there were about six guys beating up the cop and it would have taken some time for some other coppers to get there. The whole set up didn't seem impossible to me.

i interpreted it that all of his energy every second went into trying to force his way in, rather than dally even for a second calling for help which was likely going to be too late to interdict the beating anyway..given as some planning had gone into the ambush anyway, it wasnt just spontaneous..

a agree that what happended next, gun popping into his lap, his nemesis immediately dropping into his lap mins later on top of it for a premature showdown, was disappointing...only thing you can say in the favor of that is the sheer audacity, arrogance and aggression of the thug psycho in question.
