Channel 4 sinks to new depths
Just terrible. Someone should get fired for this.
shareIt's pretty awful Dog. Aren't these peeps undateable for a reason? I don't want to sound evil here but, the reason being they're really not supposed to reproduce and continue their genepool
shareYou can date without reproducing. Even assuming that these people's issues are genetic, there's no need for them to spend their lives alone to avoid passing those issues on to future generations.
shareIt is sad society calls these people undateable based on appearance. I see these people as caring lovely people and calling them undatable is a demeening term to just make them sound like freaks. I admire the so called "undateables" as they are brave, and bring encouragement to others as they are overcomers.
Undateable in my opinion is someone cruel, heartless and dangerous, nothing to do with appearance.
The title of this series reveals how societies standards, of basic etiquette and respect have lowered.

ok well why dont you go out with someone on the show? i bet you wouldnt be seen dead with a bloke who has any of this conditions, and dont say you would, cos you wouldn't...

I enjoyed it but felt really sorry for the autistic guy especially like his mannerisms were totally different to normal
A decent show though
I did see like 5 minutes of this the other day, they had this girl with down syndrome and the voiceover was saying she wants married like she was this desperate woman. The title of the TV show is a little patronizing.
shareI'd disagree. The title of the show is in reference to societies generalisations. We label these people as undatable yet the programme shows us they clearly aren't.
The fact is anybody who feels unease at the premise of the show probably has something wrong with them. Why is it we are able to produce mass amounts of shows full of endlessly vapid people, in what amounts to essentially speed dating, yet a show full of genuine people looking for something meaningful is so thoroughly revilled and detested?
If you want to talk about how 'low' modern society is in regards to this sort of thing I'd start with that. How so many can't see how backwards ( and overly politically correct ) your arguements against it are is beyond me.
You can take is as a 'freak' show, but life is what you make of it. I personally saw a thoroughly thoughtfull and downright amazing show full of real, genuine people looking for something meaningfull.
What could ever be wrong about that?
