The characters were really annoying (Spoilers)

Overall the film was pretty funny, but the characters were super annoying. I didn't understand why the parents acted so clueless and so blind to the things that went on in front of them. Jolie needed money so his girlfriend could get an abortion and his dad just gave him what he needed without questioning him, even though he overheard Jolie talking about it moments earlier. What parent does that with their teenage son? Wouldn't you at least talk with him father to son and let him know there are consequences to his actions? I didn't understand why all of the parental figures allowed themselves to be walked on, it was weird bc I don't know parents who act like this.

Henrietta was selfish and annoying, I couldn't take her attitude and stupidity throughout the film, why would she be with Jolie - a guy who never wanted to be seen with her and who got another girl pregnant? Why was she still all smiley with him at the end? If she was so tough, wouldn't she have put him in his place a long time ago? Also, I understand she was adopted, but why act so rude to her adopted dad (who was another oblivious idiotic parental figure, why would he let the supposed 'tutor' be alone with his daughter for hours at a time where they are supposedly studying)?

Jolie suggested Henrietta give the kid up for adoption and she called him racist for suggesting she had a better life for being adopted, but she obviously did have a better life. Unanswered questions: Why did Henrietta do the sex tape in the first place? Maybe i'm looking too much into it, it is a good film but I didn't understand why some of the characters acted the way they did.
