Just watched this, not sure what to think
Maybe it was me falling asleep multiple times or getting distracted with more interesting things, but this movie seemed disjointed and I'm not quite sure what it's saying. Did Richard Doty expand on a UFO myth? Is the government responsible for all UFO mythology and everyone else is just misperceiving things? They parade out people who give evidence for UFOs and evidence for it just being all made up, but I've seen so much evidence that can't be traced to Richard Doty that I feel the movie makers just hadn't seen that yet. There's tons of government, police, institutional, and personal reports of UFOs, even from multiple people at the same time in different locations that match up that the more you read the harder it is to ignore that something unexplained is going on (even if it's mass-hallucination, which is even weirder). I don't think Richard Doty put UFOs in Renaissance paintings or faked videos in Israel of strange objects from multiple recordings or got dozens of military personnel from different generations to testify on their own qualifications (or NASA people for that matter), or the dozens of cops and journalists whose reputations are on the line... if this movie and the book it's based on are saying UFOs are all just Richard Doty's manipulation, well they got a lot of 'splainin' to do!
