The main character is incompetent

I Like the actor and his usual tough guy roles....but i mean jesus christ he's a grown man, a sheriff of a small town and he can't make an egg? I found it comedic how he was standing there looking all tough and his deputy asks what he's doing. "Figuring out breakfast...it's got fruit I'm it" I mean really what are you 17?

I get It, His wife did all the
cooking, which would have been fine except that literally every single time someone told him a problem or asked him a question he would just say "yeah there's nothing there"

"You really think there's a monster in the woods?" He asks right AFTER FREAKING CHASING ONE IN THE WOODS

reply

guy seemed to be in a drug-induced stupor

Wasn't about how his son didn't want to the cereal cause the son thought the cereral had fruit in it?

Might want to turn on the subtitles. They speak often softly with a slight accent.

reply

you did get the rather obvious part about his son dying and him blaming himself? trauma of that sort can literally cripple anyone. he did a great job acting, I thought. he looked like he was normally a solid, tough cop, but was emotionally destroyed by loss.

reply

I thought the breakfast bit was him thinking about how he's now making food for just one kid and not two and that's why we was looking down on it like that

Not every guy knows how to cook or have any idea about food. Ask my brothers, cousin, best friend, or dad to cook something and they'll show you take out or ramen noodles. I'm the only guy in the family that can actually chef something up.
